Experience the beauty of the Atlantis Dunes without needing your own rig. At Headout Adventures, we’ve made the unique landscape of the Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve accessible to everyone.

Skip the technical stress and take a seat in our custom 4-seater UTV. You’ll be accompanied by one of our professional, highly experienced drivers who knows every ridge and hidden bowl of the dunes, ensuring you see the very best of this incredible environment from the best vantage points.

What to Expect: Expertly Guided Exploration: This is a chauffeured tour designed to showcase the scale and beauty of the dunes. Relax and take in the views while our professionals handle the technical terrain. (Please note: Strictly no self-drive allowed). The Perfect Group Outing: Our UTV accommodates up to 3 guests per session—ideal for a small group of friends or a family looking for a memorable outdoor experience. Seamless Adventure: We provide the machine, the safety gear, and the local expertise. You just bring your camera and your sense of wonder.

WeatherWe Ride in Almost All Weather It is a common misconception that rain or wind stops the fun! Weather in Cape Town city center is often much more severe than at the Atlantis Dunes. In fact, light rain often makes for a smoother, faster ride on the sand. Safety First While we operate in most conditions, your safety is our priority. Severe sandstorms or extreme heavy rain are very rare, but if conditions become dangerous, our team—who receive live, on-site weather reports—will make the call to pause or postpone. Client Responsibility (24-Hour Rule) We understand that everyone has a different comfort level. If you monitor the forecast and feel the weather is not suitable for your group, you must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your tour time. Last-Minute Changes Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour due to weather preferences will be considered a "no-show" and will not be eligible for a refund or reschedule. When in Doubt, Give Us a Shout Don't rely on the weather report for the city! For an accurate, on-site update from the dunes, please contact us directly on the morning of your tour.

Arrival & Timing
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. This allows time for check-in and safety briefings so we can hit the dunes on time.

What if I’m running late?
To be fair to all our guests, tours depart exactly on schedule. Arriving after the departure time will result in a forfeited tour without a refund or reschedule.

Can I reschedule on the day?
Same-day rescheduling is at the sole discretion of Headout Adventures and is subject to availability. If we are able to accommodate a change, additional administrative fees will apply.
